Netflix released a Red Fish Blue Fish Volume 2 score album for their Dr. Seuss adaptation in August 2026. However, the album only features 10 tracks from the show’s third season.

You should still keep reading to learn more about the album, either for you or your kid.

Netflix Released a Dedicated Red Fish Blue Fish Volume 2 Score Album

It’s been a year since we heard anything from Netflix’s Dr. Seuss adaptations. However, new seasons bring new music. So, here we are. First, it was the second season of Horton. Then, it was Sneetches. And now finally, it’s Red Fish Blue Fish, wih a new “Volume 2” album.

Of course, thisVolume 2 soundtrack album features Ben Bromfield’s original music from the show’s third season, which is currently streaming on Netflix. However, the album only features 10 tracks. That’s a bit strange since the previous soundtrack score album had 17.

And yes, the new album is all scores. There are also no plans for a new vocal album either. Either way, everything should be readily available on most digital music services.

A Quick Review of the Red Fish Blue Fish Volume 2 Score Album

Musically,Volume 2 sounds very much like showtune music. It’s all big jazz band, with its very 1960s aesthetic. It’s decent enough, but you can immediately tell that it’s a soundtrack.

That’s not to say it’s bad. As I have said, the album’s decent for what it is. If you love old-time jazz, or your kids love the series, then get this soundtrack. You will enjoy it all the same.  But there are better jazz soundtracks out there. So, if you skip it, you’re not missing much.

About Red Fish Blue Fish

Netflix’s Dr. Seuss’s Red Fish Blue Fish is a fairly true adaptation of the 1960 children’s book, all things considered. Originally a five-episode miniseries, the series has recently launched its third season. It also stars Brian Drummond and Andrea Libman as the titular fish, and Naomi Tan as the narrator.

You can read my previous blog to learn more about the show. Or you can just stream the show on Netflix. You can then listen to the Volume 2 album in context.

Final Thoughts

All things considered,Volume 2 is a decent album for preschool kids and their families. Its classical jazz and Hollywood sound should please most kids, while keeping them entertained for hours. However, there are better soundtracks out there if you need that jazz in your life.

However, that’s just my take on it. But what’s yours? Post your thoughts in the comments below.
