Why I Freelance And Run Toon Radio
I freelance so as not to lose the sense of what it means to be a customer.
As I said, I’m a freelance content writer. However, effective writing requires understanding your audience’s needs and desires, and that’s best done through lived experience. By staying independent of the brands I work for, I get to see how the general public views them from the outside, especially for niche audiences. That, in turn, lets me offer them valuable, actionable insights about themselves and their products and services.
It also helps you, my audience, since freelancing lets me write as one of you. I feel your pain. And therefore, when I find solutions to your problems, I know how to presents them in a more useful manner.
Why I Created Toon Radio
Toon Radio is my personal blog and portfolio. It primarily focuses on animated film soundtracks through news, reviews, and quick buying guides. Thus, it provides a valuable resource for fans seeking the music from their favorite films and series.
I first established it as a live internet broadcast in 2003 because I had a large music collection and wanted to share it and my love of music. I dedicated it to animation soundtracks to fill a niche in the market, and out of my love for animation in general. However, broadcasting proved unsustainable, despite my success with it.
So, I eventually pivoted it to the blog you see here today. As a blog, it still lets me fill a niche. But it does so in a more sustainable way that lets me adapt more easily to market shifts and tastes.
