Netflix Released The Full Red Fish, Blue Fish Soundtrack
Everyone loves Dr. Seuss books for the quirky way they teach life lessons. Despite being intended for children, these books have evolved into modern myths and legends that appeal to children and adults alike, resulting in numerous adaptations.
Netflix’s Dr. Seuss’s Red Fish Blue Fish is one such adaptation, which adapts the 1960 book “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish“. Overall, it’s a surprisingly faithful adaptation, only taking the liberties required to translate the pages into animation.
Because of this, the five-episode Netflix Jr. miniseries follows the misadventures of a dysfunctional pair of fish friends as they explore their undersea world. To tell the tale, Netflix used the voice talents of:
- Brian Drummond as Red
- Andrea Libman as Blue
- Naomi Tan as the narrator
If you’re interested, you’ll find all five episodes streaming on Netflix.
The Soundtrack Album
To celebrate the show’s premiere, Netflix also released a soundtrack album. This album features the eight songs from the adaptation, all written by composers Rob Cantor and PJ Morton. (of Maroon 5). Morton also performs the songs, noting that he was “excited to be a part of this amazing project”.
You can find it for streaming or downloading on most digital music services. However, there are no plans for a physical release at this time.

Netflix Also Released a Score Album
While the soundtrack album was a great addition for families and soundtrack fans alike, it didn’t come with the show’s score. For that, we had to wait for Netflix to release the score album about three and a half months later on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2026.
The score album features 16 tracks from the show’s original score, composed by Ben Bromfield, plus a bonus track from Atomic Cartoons. Soundtrack fans likely know Bromfield from his work on the Ginny & Georgia, The Boss Baby: Back in Business, and Oddballs soundtracks. However, he didn’t write the included bonus track. That one came from Earl St. Clair.

Netflix’s Other Dr. Seuss Adaptations
Dr. Seuss’s Red Fish, Blue Fish is one of three adaptations of Dr Seuss books Netflix announced in 2022, along with Horton and The Sneetches. They are finally following up on that.
The series follows two fish friends as they try to one-up each other by exploring different concepts. It stars Brian Drummond and Andrea Libman as the fish, and Naomi Tan as the narrator. The animated preschool comedy is already on Netflix with five episodes available.

Final Thoughts
Most animated show soundtracks are for children’s shows, which means they’re few and far between. Luckily, Netflix has no issues with releasing its soundtracks, letting us enjoy its numerous animated series and films on the go wherever we are.
That extends to all of their content, including their teen and adult stuff. You can read about some of them here, after you post your opinions on this soundtrack collection in the comments below.
