A good soundtrack will always enhance a movie. This is especially true if the film covers a story we’ve heard a thousand times before. Then, the music brings freshness to the familiar, as seen in the case of the Bunyan and Babe soundtrack.

Notefornote Music released the Bunyan and Babe soundtrack on September 8, 2017. The album features 21 tracks from the film, comprising a mix of songs and scores. These tracks include the last music composed by the late Basil Poledouris.

The film and soundtrack cater to the needs of young children and their families, but what about the rest of us? Some children’s stories have a broad appeal to a diverse demographic. Keep reading to see if the Bunyan and Babe movie is one of them.

Loosely based on the Paul Bunyan myth, “Bunyan and Babe” prompts us to ponder whether the folklore is factual. Through it, we venture with two children who discover and befriend the lumberjack and his trusty ox, Babe, finding themselves in the process.

The Bunyan and Babe soundtrack lets you take that sense of adventure wherever you go. Notefornote Music released it on September 4, 2017, on their website, followed by the release of physical and digital copies four days later.

I placed the trailer below. If it feels like something good for you or your kid, you can watch it here. However, you should note that it received only 3 out of 5 stars. Critics said that it should be okay with those “who are comfortable with real vs. pretend violence”, but it was otherwise uninspiring.
