Netflix Released the Twits Soundtrack.

When the world’s meanest, smelliest, nastiest people take over their city, two brave children must rise and save the day. Along the way, they must overcome the disgusting, dangerous, and idiotic challenges the Twits throw their way.

The Twits Soundtrack brings this hysterically funny, wild ride to life, creating a soundtrack for our times. Netflix gave Talking Heads’ David Byrne and Paramore’s Hayley Williams the monumental task of making it, including the movie’s end title song, “Open the Door,” together.

Netflix was so proud of their work that they released the soundtrack, along with the film, on October 17, 2025. They also released “Open the Door” as a single.

Soundtrack Review

The album begins with the ending song. That’s not surprising since it’s the single. However, it wouldn’t be my choice for an opener. It feels like the ending song that it is. It sounds wholesome, but it doesn’t draw you in for more.

However, the movie’s songs are even worse. The actors can’t sing and sound awful, and the music doesn’t work as standalone songs. They only work when played with their associated scenes, and nowhere else. Although they might work with kids.

On the other hand, the score tracks feel epic. On their own, they sound generic, but that works to their advantage, allowing them to work in different situations. You can almost imagine the movie as you listen to them. As a result, they were more successful at making me want to see the film than the songs.

Where Can You Find The Twits Soundtrack

The Twits Animated Movie from Netflix

Netflix developed the tale of The Twits by adapting Roald Dahl’s classic novel of the same name. Directed by Phil Johnston, the movie stars:

  • Johnny Vegas
  • Emilia Clarke
  • Margo Martindale
  • Maitreyi Ramakrishnan
  • Natalie Portman
  • Ryan Lopez
  • Timothy Simons
  • Jason Mantzoukas
  • Nicole Byer
  • Alan Tudyk
  • Charlie Beren
  • Rebecca Wisocky
  • Mark Proksch

Netflix released the movie on October 17, 2025. As such, you can watch the “uproarious adventure” on Netflix whenever you want. Because of this, I included the trailer below for your convenience.

Trailer Review

I don’t have Netflix, nor live near one of the theaters showing the movie. As such, I cannot watch The Twits. However, the premise does make it sound interesting. It has a decent soundtrack as well.

However, the trailer paints a different story. The movie seems highly childish and pedantic. For instance, it’s not very subtle in its theme and message. The characters spell it out verbatim. There’s also no story here. It’s just one big slapstick comedy sketch.

As a result, I cannot recommend this film to anyone, especially to kids. There’s nothing of value here that’s worth watching. If you want something wholesome to watch with your kids, stick to movies like KPOP Demon Hunters.

More Animation Soundtracks from Netflix

The Twits might be terrible, but not everything Netflix produced is. You can find a few gems on the app. Luckily, that extends to The Twits soundtrack,es which do more to sell the movie than the trailer.
