The Goat movie soundtrack has arrived, bridging the gap between sport and music. While the movie drew mixed reactions, the soundtrack managed to create a heartwarming tale of humor and adventure. And now, you can take it with you.

Mercury Records released this Goat movie soundtrack on February 13, 2026, to coincide with the Sony Pictures animated film. The album features all the songs from the film, but not its musical score.

The Goat Movie Soundtrack Unites Multiple Genres to Basketball

Everyone wants to be the greatest of all time, but only a few put in the work. Will was once the same. The boar goat dreamed of rising the ranks of the best players of roarball, a high-intensity, co-ed version of basketball. However, that changes the moment he gets the once-in-a-lifetime chance offer to join the sport’s most prominent professional league.

This is the premise behind Sony’s newest animated feature, Goat, which arrived in theaters on February 13, 2026. While reviews are generally positive, it’s not the GOAT it claims to be.

Things were looking up for it, too. It had the backing of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Plus, it offered nifty animation, a good moral, and a wonderful voice cast. However, it remained uninspired, relying on rudimentary emotional beats and cliched storylines

Luckily, people don’t watch it for the story. They watch it for its dynamic star-studded cast and crew. People also come for its entertaining soundtrack, which includes country music star Jelly Roll.

The Goat Movie Soundtrack: Diversity in Music, Unity in Sport

I like experimental albums, and the Goat movie soundtrack certainly is one.

The full Goat movie soundtrack features a rich, emotionally engaging, and creative musical score from acclaimed composer Kris Bowers. So you can expect a vibrant, heartfelt narrative experience while watching the film.

However, you won’t find his work on the soundtrack album.

Instead, you’ll be graced with the film’s numerous songs, from several acclaimed artists and music genres. The genre-blending list includes songs from country, pop, hip-hop, and R&B, reflecting the film’s cross-demographic appeal.

Jelly Roll’s “I’m Good” starts hard and stays hard, making it the right single for the album. Meanwhile, “Mamacitas” from FLO deserves its spot on any R&B playlist. However, the rest of the album is a bit mid, revealing their inclusion was for the healines ad not much else. Most of them do work well on their own, though.

Get The Goat Movie Sountrack on Vinyl

To be the GOAT, you need the hardware. So, Republic also released the Goat movie soundtrack on vinyl with two different covers.

The first vinyl cover is just the official soundtrack album art, depicting Will slam-dunking a roarball. The second is a window design that lets you see the record inside. The record looks like a roarball. So, the whole package makes it look like the ball’s on the court.

About Sony’s Goat Movie

Sony’s Goat is the brainchild of NBA legend Stephen Curry, who served as the film’s producer among other roles. He also served as the primary point of contact between the NBA and Sony, ensuring the film’s portrayal of professional basketball was as accurate as possible.

Under him, Adam Rosette and Tyree Dillihay (Bob’s Burgers) directed the film, based on a story by Nicolas Curcio and Peter Chiarelli.

Besides Jelly Roll, the film stars:

  • Caleb McLaughlin – as Will Harris, our titular boar goat
  • Gabrielle Union – as Jett Fillmore, a black panther
  • Stephen Curry – as Lenny Williamson, a giraffe
  • Nicola Coughlan – as Olivia Burke, an ostrich
  • Nick Kroll – as Modo Olachenko, a Komodo dragon
  • David Harbour – as Archie Everhardt, an Indian rhinoceros
  • Jenifer Lewis – as Florence Everson, the team’s warthog owner
  • Aaron Pierre – as Mane Attraction, an Andalusian horse
  • Patton Oswalt – as Dennis, a proboscis monkey and the team’s coach

Sony handled the animation themselves through their Sony Animation and Sony Imageworks subsidiaries. Afterward, they released the film in theaters on February 13, 2026. However, they have yet to release their streaming plans for it.

I’ve included the trailer below, but you should check out Sony’s social media for more information about the film.

The movie was decent, but it didn’t live up to the hype. The Goat movie soundtrack didn’t either, but it scored better when it mattered. Overall, it’s a solid soundtrack for everyone, from film and animation enthusiasts to basketball fans and music lovers.
