KPop Demon Hunters Soundtrack and Its Many Awards

I have a confession to make. You might not know this, but I haven’t watched KPop Demon Hunters. I know that’s blasphemous, especially for an animated film music fan and blogger. However, I don’t have a Netflix account, so I can’t watch the movie.

Fortunately, Republic Records released the entire KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, and I mean everything. Therefore, I can listen to every song and the entire score suite without the film, and I mean everything.. There’s even a standard and a deluxe version, depending on how much you can stand K-pop.

KPop Demon Hunters is the world’s most popular and prominent soundtrack and music album, with numerous awards and nominations. So, it makes sense, too. Not bad for an animated film about a female K-pop group that fights demons.

KPop Demon Hunters Soundtrack Song Album Track List

Republic Records released two versions of the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack. They released the original version digitally on the same day Netflix launched the film, June 20, 2025, with 11 vocal racks from the film and a score suite by composer Marcelo Zarvos. They also released a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl single of “Takedown” at the same time, thinking that it would be the film’s defining song.

Three months later, Republic released the soundtrack again on September 15, 2025. This “deluxe version” included two additional tracks (“Prologue (Hunter’s Mantra)” and “Jinu’s Lament”), as well as sing-along, instrumental, and a cappella versions of the original songs.

Since then, “Golden” took over as the face of the soundtrack, breaking every record and music chart imaginable and then some.

My Review of the Demon Hunters Soundtrack

It’s K-pop. There’s nothing much to say about the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack.

They’re decent tunes, and I see why these songs are as popular as they are. There’s nothing that explicitly says that they are from a soundtrack, but they are pure ear candy. I can see why “Golden: resonated with everyone. “Takedown” has its moments as well. However, I can’t get into “How It’s Done” as it feels awkward and unfinished,

As for the KPop Demon Hunters score, it’s a generic blend of leitmotifs and ambient sounds. It’s pretty forgettable on its own without visuals to give it strength. You can tell that the music wants to say something, but it’s nowhere near as good as the songs.

That said, none of the music inspires me to watch the movie. Most movies are full of pop music these days, and there’s nothing here that screams that you must see some Korean demon slayers. As such, I can recommend the soundtrack if you’re a fan of the film or love K-pop. It’s a decent pop music album. However, only get the score if you must.

Where Can You Find the KPop Demon Hunters Soundtrack?

Due to their massive success, the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack albums remain available to everyone from multiple music stores. You may even find a few CDs and vinyl records on the market. Just note that the three albums have different cover art, leaving most stores with multiple copies of each song.

Final Thoughts

Some soundtracks can work well on their own without their accompanying film. This is especially true if they are for music-related films, as with the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack.
