Home is where the heart is. While we know this is true, we often find ourselves wandering the wilderness of our lives alone. However, we can go back, and the DreamWorks Home Soundtrack will spur us forward along the journey, provided you find and add it to your playlist.
Fortunately, you can still get the DreamWorks Home Soundtrack from most music stores. Split into a song and a score album, the soundtrack has 21 tracks in total. A few of them were also released as singles.
Along with the soundtrack, you can also watch the movie through official means. Because of that, you should keep reading to learn more about it to see if you should add it to your watch list.
The DreamWorks Home Soundtrack Was Released as Two Albums
Aliens do exist. That is what Tip discovered when she met Oh, a lovable misfit, after his planet invaded Earth. Now, the two must protect each other while trying to find her lost mother. Along the way, they will learn the true meaning of Home.
The animated CGI science-fiction buddy comedy thrilled audiences when it hit theaters back in 2015, despite the mixed reviews from critics. People loved the film’s colorful, silly, and utterly benign child-friendly characters and story, highlighted by a soundtrack composed by veteran DreamWorks composer Lorne Balfe.
Fans would have to wait a long time to get the music as well. That is because Interscope Records released the DreamWorks Home Soundtrack on March 13, 2015, under their Roc Nation brand.
This album featured the eight songs from the film, performances by:
- Rihanna
- Jennifer Lopez
- Clarence Coffee Jr
- Charli XCX
- Kiesza
- Jacob Plant
A month later, Relativity Music Group would have a 17-track score album on April 14, 2015.

Find The True Meaning of Smekday in DreamWorks Home
DreamWorks Animation released Home to theaters on March 27, 2015, though it premiered at the Boulder International Film Festival a few weeks earlier. The movie, based on the book The True Meaning of Smekday by Adam Rex, stars Steve Martin, Rihanna, Jim Parsons, and Jennifer Lopez. It tells the tale of a friendly alien race that invades Earth, reorganizing the planet in the process.
Despite its critics, the film did well at the box office, with audiences giving it an ‘A’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It was so successful that Netflix released a sequel series, Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh, on July 29, 2016.
You can still watch the movie here or get it on Blu-ray or DVD.
