22D Music Released the 2015 Yellowbird Soundtrack Worldwide

You don’t choose the hero life. The hero’s life chooses you. Gus, an African yellowbird, learns that lesson in the French animated adventure, Gus: Petit oiseou. In it, he finds himself helping his injured elder after they become stranded in the Arctic during their migration. In the end, he learns the secrets of leadership to rise to become the new leader of the flock.

Academy Award-winning composer Stephen Warbeck accents this arousing tale of self-discovery and self-fulfillment with an equally epic soundtrack. The soundtrack was so good that it won France’s Voices of Stars Festival Best Soundtrack Award in 2014.

It was only a matter of time before it got an international release, which came on February 22, 2015. On that day, 22D Music would release it under the film’s English name, Yellowbird. They would release the 2015 Yellowbird soundtrack album digitally through most music stores, and it’s still available for streaming and downloading.

What is the 2015 Yellowbird Movie?

Yellowbird is an interesting story because it’s a French movie written and produced in English. It premiered in France in 2014 as Gus, petit oiseau (Gus: Grand Voyage) to rave reviews. The film then branched out to other markets a year later, receiving above-average scores on all metrics.

It’s all based on a true story. The creators wrote the script as an exaggerated version of documentary footage taken by bird researchers. They even took inspiration from Ornithologist Guilhem Lesaffre, who guided them on “bird morphology, feather arrangement, aspects of flight, behavior, and postures”.

You can still watch the movie, which stars Seth Green, Richard Kind, Danny Glover, Yvette Nicole Brown, Dakota Fanning, Elliott Gould, Jim Rash, and Christine Baranski. However, your available options might not be as good as they were when the movie hit theaters on April 7, 2015. Either way, you can watch the trailer below for your convenience.
