Netflix Released the Stranger Things: Tales From 85 Season 2 Soundtrack
It’s been five months since Netflix launched Stranger Things: Tales from 85. And now, they’re giving us the second season of the animated sequel to their popular Stranger Things franchise.
But that’s not all. They also gave us the soundtrack on the same day as the season, September 17, 2026. So now, we can enjoy more of Brad Breeck’s original score for the series. In fact, this Tales from 85 Season 2 Soundtrack contains 19 additional tracks to your Stranger Things collection.
However, Netflix only released it digitally.
A Review of the Stranger Things: Tales from 85 Season 2 Soundtrack
I still don’t have a Netflix account. So, I still can’t watch the series. But there’s nothing stopping me from listening to its music.
Luckily, the Tales from 85 Season 2 Soundtrack should maintain the franchise’s 1980s-style music. So, I came into it expecting the same undeniably moody, synthy, pulse-quickening sounds from the first album.
Thankfully, Breeck continued the 8-bit aesthetic with the new season. He also kept the tracks short so none of them overstayed their welcome. And because it’s Stranger Things, the soundtrack seamlessly bounces between adventurous and ominous and back as it should. This is a horror-themed modern-day fantasy, after all.
So, if you loved the Season 1 soundtrack, you should enjoy Season 2 just the same. If you didn’t, you should check out the new album anyway. It might change your mind.
Some Notes About Stranger Things: Tales from 85 Season 2
As I have said, Stranger Things: Tales from 85 is an animated sequel to Netflix’s action-horror live-action series. The new season picks up where the first one left off. The crew tries to get back to their normal lives of arcade gaming and HIC missions. However, Strange Things continue to happen around the town of Hawkins, Indiana.
The new season also brought back the cast and crew from the previous season. But it also features the additional voice work of:

- Janeane Garofalo as Anna Baxter
- Jeremy Jordan as Steve Harrington
- Alessandra Antonelli as Nancy Wheeler
- Valeria Rodriguez as Rosario

And of course, Netflix released the entire Season 2 at the same time, on September 17, 2026. So, everything should be up for you to stream as you read this.

All in all, the Stranger Things: Tales from 85 Season 2 Soundtrack isn’t a bad album. That’s because it does what it’s supposed to do. However, it’s an acquired taste that might not be for everyone. Still, it’s something you should check out, especially if you love the Stranger Things franchise.
