Later this year, iam8bit and WaterTower Music will be releasing the soundtrack for Adventure Time: Come Along with Me, which was the show’s three-part finale. However, you can already stream the album from its 2018 release by Cartoon Network Music.

Keep reading to learn more about the album and where you can buy both versions.

Iam8bit and WaterTower Music Will Release a New Physical Release of The Adventure Time: Come Along with Me Soundtrack in 2026

Some soundtracks live rent-free in our heads, not because of how good they are, but how well they make us picture their worlds when we listen to them. The Adventure Time soundtrack is one of them, offering a massive collection of music in return.

However, long-time fans know that the series didn’t end with a story—it ended with a feeling. That’s because its three-part finale, “Come Along with Me,” is practically engineered to live in your headphones. It’s wistful, lo-fi, and gently cosmic in that uniquely Ooo way.

Now, in 2026, that finale’s score is getting a long-awaited physical spotlight with an officially announced Q3 release of the soundtrack album from iam8bit and WaterTower Music.

What’s New in 2026: A Physical Home for the Finale

According to iam8bit, the Adventure Time: Come Along with Me soundtrack will be released physically on vinyl (with themed color variants) and CD, in partnership with WaterTower Music. This album will feature all the original music made for the finale from series composer Tim Kiefer, anchored by

  • Island Song (Come Along with Me)
  • Time Adventure,” the finale’s signature song written by Rebecca Sugar.

The packaging will also come with new album art by background designer and visual developer Jessie Balmer.

Shipments are expected in Q3 2026 (with retail listings also pointing to September 25, 2026, as a release date for some editions). However, you can pre-order the album now.

Flashback: The 2018 Adventure Time: Come Along with Me Soundtrack Release

In the meantime, you could just stream it.

That’s because this isn’t the first release of the Adventure Time: Come Along with Me soundtrack. Cartoon Network had already released it digitally back on September 4, 2018, and on vinyl through Mondo.

In other words, we had the soundtrack on the same day the episodes premiered. And it’s still available today.

So why get excited again in 2026?

Because each edition is its own little artifact: different curation, different presentation, and another chance to add this chapter of Adventure Time to your animation soundtrack library. And for newer fans, this is a clean and current way to pick up the finale’s music as a dedicated, display-worthy release.

Why This Release Hits Different for Animation Soundtrack Fans

Animation scores often do double-duty. That’s because they underline the action while quietly telling you how to feel about the characters, whom you’ve known for years.

Tim Kiefer’s work across Adventure Time leans into that idea with:

  • An intentionally handmade sound:
  • Melodies that feel like they were discovered rather than manufactured
  • Textures that sit somewhere between chiptune nostalgia and bedroom-pop sincerity.

Then, there’s Rebecca Sugar’s “Time Adventure,” which operates less like an end-credit song and more like a thesis statement for the series. That is time may change you, but it doesn’t erase what matters.

For soundtrack lovers, that’s the sweet spot—when an animated series uses music to lock an emotion in place. As a result, it feels like stepping back into the same sunset every time you revisit the tracks years later. A physical release adds to that ritual: sleeve art, liner notes, and the deliberate act of putting the music on.

Final Thoughts

Options are always nice, but they do present a problem. Which format of Come Along with Me should you get? The answer may come down to how you will listen to it.

For instance, the vinyl edition is great for “sit down and feel everything” listening. On the other hand, you want the CD for repeat plays, desk listening, and a physical library without worrying about a turntable. In either case, the new releases from Iam8bit and WaterTower Music will serve you nicely, even if you must wait until September 2026 for them.

In the meantime, we have the digital option to enjoy and share with those now discovering the mystical Land of Ooo.

But that’s just my take. What’s yours? Post your thoughts on the album and its future releases in the comments below. You can then listen to the rest of the Adventure Time soundtrack.
