Sony Masterworks has released the official soundtrack album for The Land of Sometimes digitally to most major music stores. Their album features 25 tracks from the original orchestral score by Terry Davies, as well as songs by Tim Rice and Peter John Hobbs.
Keep reading for the track list and where you can listen to the soundtrack before the movie drops on April 7, 2026.
Sony released The Land of Sometimes Soundtrack Before the Film
Alfie and Elise had a problem. They wanted to be somewhere else. With their father off to war, they and their mother had nothing for the holidays. Fortunately, their father left them with a watch that grants wishes. But will they survive what their hearts desire?
Either way, we’ll know the answer on April 7, 2026. That’s when the upcoming family fantasy indie movie, The Land of Sometimes, becomes available for streaming. The movie chronicles the adventure of a pair of twins who are whisked away to a magical island that experiences all four seasons every day. Now, they must find their way home before it’s too late.
According to the trailers, it’s a nice story about wishes having consequences, told through a heartfelt, cinematic experience. Luckily, it has an official soundtrack that reflects that imaginative premise, shifting seamlessly between playful energy, mystery, and emotional reflection.
The whole thing centers around the amazing original orchestral score from Composer Terry Danies, which favors melody and warmth over bombast. His scores rarely overwhelm their films. So, I expect his soundtrack for The Land of Sometimes to do the same, guiding us through the story with a light but deliberate touch.
Then, there are the songs from legendary lyricist and EGOT-winner Tim Rice and Pete Hobbs. They are equally as profound as the score, creating an overall enjoyable musical experience.
Thankfully, we don’t have to wait until April 7 to hear them either. That’s because Radial Entertainment released the soundtrack through Sony Masterworks on March 20 to promote the film.

The Creative Team Behind The Land of Sometimes Music
Terry Davies — Original Score
The film’s score is composed by Terry Davies. His music often emphasizes emotional storytelling through melody and texture. As a result, the Land of Sometimes score gives the film its musical identity. Its blend of light fantasy with moments of genuine emotion makes the soundtrack a wonderful standalone listening experience.
Tim Rice — Song Lyrics
Known for The Lion King, Aladdin, and Evita soundtracks, legendary EGOT-winning lyricist Tim Rice contributes original songs to the film, including the film’s title song. As expected, he brought his signature narrative clarity and emotional insight into the project.
Therefore, we can expect the music to serve as an extension of the narrative rather than an interruption, reinforcing the film’s themes of wishes, change, and personal growth.
Peter John Hobbs — Music and Songs
While the songs are attributed to Rice, he didn’t write them alone. Instead, he had help from Peter John Hobbs. As such, the music blended seamlessly with Davies’ orchestral score. Because of this, the songs felt like natural extensions of the soundtrack.

Final Thoughts: A Strong Standalone Listen
The Land of Sometimes soundtrack holds up well on its own. Sure, it’s likely to work well with the film as well. However, you can repeatedly listen to it for its subtle thematic callbacks and orchestration details alone.
Overall, it’s a decent package that maintains its distinct emotional overtone throughout. It’s a perfect mix suitable for everyone, from kids to seasoned fans of animated film music.
