Lee Mendelson Film Productions will release the “It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brown” soundtrack on March 20, 2026. The album will feature 17 tracks from the classic 1976 special, along with a few tracks from 1966’s “Charlie Brown’s All Stars” special.

“It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brown” Soundtrack Musical Tribute Album on The Way

Peanuts fans rejoice! A pair of Charlie Brown soundtracks is on the way. This album will feature music from two classic television specials. The first will be the “It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brown” soundtrack. “Charlie Brown’s All Stars” will be the other one. Neither soundtrack has been released until now.

The new album will be a dream come true for any Peanuts collector, animation fan, or film music enthusiast, even if you have never seen these specials yourself. That’s because it will be the first time their heartwarming melodies are available to the public.

It’s always exciting when something is no longer lost media. 2026 is the 50th anniversary of “It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brown” and the 60th anniversary of “Charlie Brown’s All Stars”.  For decades, these delightful specials, featuring Charlie Brown and his friends, were staples of American television history.

Now, new generations can experience their gentle humor and timeless themes through their unforgettable soundtracks.

“It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brown” Soundtrack and “Charlie Brown’s All Stars” Soundtrack Track List

Lee Mendelson Film Productions (LMFP) will drop the “It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brown” Soundtrack and the “Charlie Brown’s All Stars” Soundtrack double album on March 20, 2026, both physically and digitally. The album will feature 24 tracks, split between the two specials.

The “It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brown” soundtrack portion will feature 17 original musical scores that Vince Guaraldi created for the special. It will also have two bonus tracks. The album will serve as a 50th-anniversary tribute to Guaraldi’s fifteenth and final Peanuts score, which initially aired in 1976.

The album will also have five tracks from” Charlie Brown’s All Stars”, serving as its 60th anniversary tribute for the 1966 special. These tracks will include the original recording of the song “Rain, Rain, Go Away”.

Where Can You Find the Album?

LMFP will release the album physically and digitally on March 20, 2026.

You can already find the “It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brown” soundtrack and the “Charlie Brown’s All Stars!” soundtrack available for pre-order on most digital music stores.

However, you can only stream or download the first song,” Young Man’s Fancy”, until the release.

You can also get the album on CD or on a 12″ 33 RPM black or forest green vinyl LP.

LMFP used BioVinyl to make a record celebrating Arbor Day. BioVinyl is a synthetic vinyl made from used cooking oil or industrial waste gases. They also plant one tree for every physical copy of the album sold. The record will come in a Gatefold Jacket.

They used a “Digipack Lite” labeling system to serve the same purpose as the CD. It will also come in a jewel case made from recycled water bottles.

Both versions will include detailed track-by-track analysis by Sean and Jason Mendelson, sons of the original Peanuts producer, Lee Mendelson. The album will also include a biography and rare photographs of Guaraldi.

The Peanuts are the brainchild of the legendary comics artist Charles M. Schulz, with the first strip dating back to 1950. The franchise has since cemented itself into popular culture through its countless animated television shows and specials.

“It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brown”: Celebrating Nature and Friendship

It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brown” originally aired on Arbor Day 1976 to celebrate the holiday, highlighting the importance of nature and the joy of teamwork. It followed the Peanuts gang as they rallied together to turn a baseball field into a blossoming garden.

It’s arguably the more well-known of the two specials, as it was released around the time most of us were born.

“Charlie Brown’s All Stars!”: A Classic Sports Tale

Premiering in 1966, “Charlie Brown’s All Stars!” is the more sports-focused of the two. It’s a heartfelt story about sportsmanship, perseverance, and community that follows Charlie’s efforts to keep his baseball team together.

You can stream “It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brown” and “Charlie Brown’s All Stars!” on Apple TV, along with the other Peanuts specials and series. You can all get them on DVD.

Final Thoughts: Why This Soundtrack Release Matters

Vince Guaraldi produced some of the best soundtracks on television. So, it’s nice to see some of them get released. It’s even better that it’s two of his Peanuts scores.

The Peanuts soundtracks are the sounds of our childhoods. We all have memories of watching a few. We may even still watch them as they air new ones.
