Because Hollywood needs to revive every childhood memory, DreamWorks Animation gave us Captain Underpants: The Epic First Movie. They also released a soundtrack for the movie containing the movie’s songs and score.

The Captain Underpants Epic First Movie soundtrack comes in two albums. Virgin Records released the songs on their own album, while Back Lot Music handled the score. Both albums are still available for streaming.

The Captain Underpants Soundtrack from Virgin Records

Kids love Captain Underpants, despite some fascinating tales involving censorship. So, a feature film was inevitable. Released by 20th Century Fox in 2017, DreamWorks Animation’s Captain Underpants: The Epic First Movie follows Mr. Krupp, a humorless schoolteacher, after he was hypnotized by two of his students. It’s based on the Captain Underpants book series.

Virgin Records released the movie’s soundtrack digitally on June 2, 2017. The album features 11 tracks from Andy Grammar, Adam Lambert, Nathan Willett of Cold War Kids, and Lil Yachty, as well as “Weird Al” Yankovic’s rendition of the Captain Underpants Theme Song. It also featured a selection of the score, although you will need the score album to obtain the complete version.

Back Lot Music Offers Captain Underpants Score Album

Back Lot Music released a score album about a week after the official soundtrack dropped. The album featured all the original music Theodore Shapiro made for Captain Underpants: The Epic First Movie. The film was Shapiro’s second animation score, following 2013’s The Pirates! Band of Misfits.
