Video game movies are one of Hollywood’s hottest trends. While they have been around since the dawn of gaming, you can expect at least one per year for the last decade or so. Sometimes, those films will be animated with soundtrack releases. One such case was the 2016 Angry Birds Movie and its 2019 sequel.

The Angry Birds Movie soundtrack features 46 tracks from the original film. The soundtrack comes as two separate albums. One album came with the insert songs, while the other had the score. The soundtrack for the second film had 59 tracks.

Multiple record companies produced the soundtracks. As such, the music is not evenly split among the albums. Please keep reading to learn which tracks found themselves on which album.

The Angry Birds Movie Soundtrack Comes as Two Albums

When thinking about Angry Birds, your mind likely goes straight to the video game series where you throw ball-shaped birds at ball-shaped pigs. You may not even remember that it was popular enough to have two animated feature films. The movies had the same story as the games. They also had soundtrack releases.

The Angry Birds Movie soundtrack featured music from several popular musical acts, as well as an original score composed by Heitor Pereira. While not groundbreaking, the music was decent enough for all ages to enjoy.

However, it was split into two upon release. Atlantic Records released the main Angry Birds Soundtrack album on May 6, 2016. It featured 14 insert songs from the film. Meanwhile, Atco Records released the score album digitally on the same day, with a physical release the following month.

Meanwhile, the music from The Angry Birds Movie 2 featured more music from Pereira, but the vocal tracks were only released as singles.
