You can expect Nickelodeon shows to have great music. While designed for children, the music is relatable and enjoyable to everyone. As such, it is a time to celebrate when they release their music for us to own, as they did with the The Wild Thornberrys soundtrack.

Republic Records is Releasing The Wild Thornberrys Soundtrack for Nickelodeon
The wild adventures of 12-year-old Eliza Thornberry continue to capture the hearts of fans. Created by an all-star team led by Arlene Klasky, The Wild Thornberrys aired on the Nickelodeon cable network from 1998 to 2004. The series follows Eliza and her family as they travel and create nature documentaries with her best friend, Darwin, a chimpanzee.
You can still watch the series on Paramount+, and have been able to do so for over a decade. However, you couldn’t listen to the soundtrack, composed by Nickelodeon veteran Drew Neuman. Fortunately for Thornberry fans, that changed in July 2025 when Nickelodeon hired Republic Music to release the soundtrack in full,
Republic has been releasing a volume of the soundtrack every month since then, under its Kids & Family brand.

My Review of The Wild Thornberrys Soundtrack
I neer had Nickelodeon when The Wild Thornberrys first aired. Howeverr, I can learn a lot about it from the music. Volume 1 features very whimsical but very jungle-like vibes. The ere is also a lot of music, with every track being longer than seven minutes.
Nearly every track has vocals, but they are mostly reserved for chants that blend well with the melodies. While there are a few rock beats sung across the volume, those melodies are mostly symphonic with traditional acoustic instrumentation.
You can tell Nusman took great care to match his music to the show’s aesthetics. However, that made the music very repetative. You could remove several of the tracks, and you woudn’t notice the difference. As such, I can’t give the album my full recommendation. You can listen to it yoursef if you like, but I sugggest that you become familar with the show first. It might the content the music needs.
What is the Future for the Thornberrys?
Since The Wild Thornberrys ended a decade ago, it is unlikely that new content will be seen. Fans of the series must be content with the soundtrack releases. However, nostalgic reboots are a thing. So, it’s only a matter of time before we hear something from Nickelodeon. For now, you can read about the other soundtracks I have listed here.
