Fairy tales are real! In the world of The Sisters Grimm, the sisters discover that they’re descendants of the famous brothers. They also learn that their famous fairy tales were documentaries as they track down who kidnapped their parents.

Emmy Award winner Leo Birenberg and Ramiro Rodriguez Zamarripa wrote the music for the Apple TV+ original animated series. Neither is famous for their cartoon soundtrack work.

However, they do have impressive resumes that shine through the Sisters Grimm soundtrack, which you can listen to at your convenience thanks to Platoon Records.

Amy Higgins and Erica Rothschild developed The Sisters Grimm for Apple TV, based on the bestselling book series by Michael Buckley. The series stars:

I don’t have the Apple TV app. So, I can’t watch The Sisters Grimm. However, the trailer makes it sound wholesome.

When I first heard of it, I thought the series was a reimagining of the famous fairy tale writers as girls, but that’s not the case. Instead, the story reinterprets the old tales as documentaries. Meanwhile, the sisters are just the brothers’ great-great-grandnieces, who must venture into that world to track down a killer.

While the story is interesting, I’m not sure I could keep up with it. It’s very aimed at kids, and the voice acting is rough. However, if your child loves stories, it might be worth checking out.
